Katherine (Katie) J. Marshall is an associate attorney with Rupp, Anderson, Squires & Waldspurger, P.A. Her areas of practice include municipal law, school law, labor and employment, environmental law and land use. Katie earned her B.A. with honors from Earlham College, her M.S. in Geology from Idaho State University, and her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School. Prior to attending law school, Katie worked as a geologist for the University of Minnesota, where she produced geologic maps supporting management of Minnesota’s land, water, and mineral resources. During law school, she clerked at the Olmsted County Attorney’s Office and was a research assistant at a law firm representing local government entities. She was also an extern at the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission as well as an intern with a natural gas utility. Katie is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society, Association for Women Geoscientists, the Minnesota State Bar Association and is admitted to practice in Minnesota.
